2 WEEK GUIDED TOUR OF THE ROCKIES' FINEST RESORTS
This amazing road trip will take you through the famous “Powder Triangle”, home to 90% of the world’s Heli and Cat ski operators. This tour is your opportunity to visit several resorts, receive professional instruction, enjoy fresh snow, stunning scenery and make new friends.

COACHING
The tour includes coaching at Fernie, Red Mountain and Kicking Horse. All our instructor’s are hand picked and are there to build your confidence in whatever area you feel necessary. They will develop your all-mountain technique, teaching you on the piste, through moguls, down tree runs and in the powder. We select instructors from the resort who will be there to guide you to the best places and freshest powder making sure you maximise your enjoyment at each resort.
Please note that if there is a big range in ability levels on your course the instructor may decide to split the group so that you are snowboarding and learning with people of a similar standard. This may mean you have half a day of coaching in much smaller groups, really focused to your standards on that day. Rest assured you will still receive instruction on each of the seven coaching days.
CAT BOARDING AT RED
The highlight of the trip! Cat boarding is where you travel up on the hill on a piste basher in search of fresh powder. It works on a similar principal to heli-skiing and you should expect to do about 8-9 runs in a day. The journey back up is your opportunity to share stories of the previous run with your powder companions. This is a day that you will remember for a long time after!

FERNIE
With one of the highest snowfalls in North America you will not be disappointed by Fernie’s “steep and deep” conditions. There are plenty of groomed runs to warm up on although the emphasis is very much on off piste riding with plenty of tree runs, open bowls and gullies and champagne powder which Fernie is renowned for! The town Fernie is very close to the ski hill and has a really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Be prepared for people give you a genuine Hello on the street in the morning. It has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and plenty of great places to buy kit for the tour. ACCOMMODATION The Beaver Lodge Chalet is run by our great friends Jenny and Kerk. Kirk is a pro-patroller on the mountain and Jenny has ski instructed for many years. Their B&B is one of Fernie’s finest heritage homes and has been lovingly refurbished to create a warm and homely place to stay. The breakfasts are fantasticand you’ll wake to the smell of freshly baked bread each morning. A great place to stay for the true Fernie experience.
WHITEWATER
Whitewater is located just outside Nelson BC and is a fun little resort with plenty of snow. Like Fernie, the terrain has something for everyone, from steeps, deeps, chutes, bowls, glades, groomed cruisers and gentle rollers. It has built its reputation on small lift lines and big hospitality. Nelson is close to Whitewater and is a great quirky town. It now has 350 preserved heritage buildings which gives the vibe that things have stood still! ACCOMMODATION The Dancing Bear Inn is a firm favourite with NONSTOP staff situated in the heart of Nelson. The accommodation Is simple yet extremely comfortable.
RED MOUNTAIN
Red Mountain offers world class skiing and riding with no lift queues, empty pistes and a fantastic friendly atmosphere. The resort incorporates two peaks with 360° riding off the top offering an awesome variety of lines down gladed tree meadows, wide open groomed pistes and award-winning steeps. The town of Rossland lies three kilometres from the resort. It is a very laid back town with a small relaxed population. There are some excellent restaurants, coffee shops and book shops to enjoy during your stay. It is a place you will want to take your friends to after experiencing its delights. ACCOMMODATION At Red Mountain we stay at the Copper Chalets which are “ski in” at the base of Red Mountain. These four bedroom houses have all the mod. con’s as well as private hot tubs!
RADIUM HOT SPRINGS
On the drive from Red Mountain to Kicking Horse, we will stop off at Radium Hot Springs a great opportunity to relax weary muscles in some beautiful springs!
KICKING HORSE
Kicking Horse is fast becoming a world famous destination and it is no suprise why. With seriously steep pitches, great snow and uncrowded runs this resort is a great stop on our tour. Just like Fernie and Red Mountain this resort is better suited to the more advanced rider, however there is something for everyone at this up and coming resort. For apres ski Kicking Horse has a selection of bars and restaurants at the base of the hill but it is Golden where you will most likely head after a day's riding. The town of Golden is close to the resort and offers a good choice of bars and restaurants, if you are looking for a special meal experience then head for the Eagle's Eye a fantastic restaurant at the top of the mountain with amazing food a views to match. ACCOMMODATION The Copper Horse Lodge is a stone’s throw (well a 100 paces…) from the gondola at Kicking Horse Resort. Having won the Ski Canada Magazine Award for “Best Lodge 2007” we can guarantee you will have an excellent stay in this stylish and modern 10 bedroom lodge, each offering its own spa styled bathroom. At the end of your day, you can ski back to the lodge and head straight for their massive hot tub!
FLIGHTS & TRANSPORT
FLIGHTS Our package includes flights from the to Calgary with Air . A member of staff will be on hand at Heathrow to see you off. You'll then be welcomed into by our course director before taking a transfer to Fernie. We can arrange alternative flight dates for those who are staying in before and/or after their course. Normally there is no additional charge for this, but please check with us for further details. In the unlikely event that direct flights are unavailable we will inform you of this and then look to book an indirect flight. It is worth noting that the earlier you book your course the more likely we can secure a direct flight. TRANSPORT We will be using the same luxury 15 seater van for all the road trips. The driver of the van will know the area and the resorts and will be your host for the two weeks.
